
David Frankel, MD, joins the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine as assistant professor of Medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Frankel received his undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Pennsylvania. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at the Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Frankel then returned to Penn for fellowships in cardiovascular medicine and cardiac electrophysiology. He is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular medicine.
Dr. Frankel’s clinical interests include management and ablation of supraventricular tachycardia, atrial fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia, as well as implantation of pacemakers and defibrillators. Dr. Frankel’s research on complex ablations has been published in Circulation, Journal of the American College of Cardiology, Heart Rhythm, Journal of Cardiovascular Electrophysiology and Journal of Atrial Fibrillation.
Dr. Frankel sees patients at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, The Ruth and Raymond Perelman Center for Advanced Medicine and Penn Medicine Radnor.
